20 Corrigan Lane Progress & Pictures

Despite the rain through the first half of the open house, we had more than 45 agents visit. Generally agents were suprised by how far along the interior is and by the quality of construction and finishes. One top producing agent liked the travertine stone and the Random Versailles pattern in the Kitchen so much, she asked for a sample in order to replicate the floor in one of her properties.

Agents liked the privacy of the lot (it sits at the end of a cul-de-sac and is bordered by Nature of Conservancy of CT land on the back and side), the proportions of the house, and the exterior brick (I'll provide the name of the brick once I track it down). Several agents suggested that I highlight all the "Green" features of the house. The features include Earth-to-Air closed-loop geothermal system for heating and cooling; 5 First Co. commercial grade variable speed air handlers with electric heat coils to provide supplementary and back-up heat, and forced cold air; radiant floor heat; 2 x 6 construction; 2lb and 1/2lb foam spray insulation, etc. These features make the house 5 star (my classification) energy efficient. Manufacturer marketing materials claim that energy consumption should be reduced greater than 50% (and possibly in the range of 60-80%) compared to traditional systems.

As far as build status, the kitchen appliances are on site and being installed. They are primarily Wolf and Subzero. The 48" Subzero stainless steel refrigerator, the Wolf Professional grade cook top, and the Miele dishwasher are installed. The remaining appliances are scheduled to be installed by next week. This includes a Subzero undercounter refridgerator and wine cooler; Wolf cooktop, warming drawers, double ovens (visible in one of the pictures to the right of the fridge), range hood and a Sharp drawer-mounted microwave.
